Nathan Plante grew up in San Diego, California and has been living in Berin since 2004. He completed his Bachelor of Music under Mario Guarneri at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and continued his studies with Prof. William Forman at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. Since graduating in 2007, Nathan has been an active soloist and ensemble player in the European contemporary music scene.
Nathan is a regular guest with Ensemble musikFabrik NRW, Klangforum Wien and Ensemble Mosaik. As a soloist, he has performed with the MDR Chor, the Polish Nation Radio Orchestra and Kammerakademie Potsdam and he is a founding member of Ensemble Apparat and Ensemblekollektiv Berlin.
Nathan is currently principal trumpet for Kammerakademie Potsdam.
